Sound Radix Sale4/17/2021
Im sure this is plain wrong but any advice would help Thanks in advance Vahe.Id say, if you REALLY wanna use it, align the snare bottom mic to to the top and perhaps the kick out to the in (or the other way round, whatever sounds best ) anything else is just messing with murphys law (I avoid those tools.I understand that.
Just seeing how other people work with it. Here is how I try to group stuff: A) snare bottom to top B) snare(group) in relation to overheads C) toms-does it make much of a difference If yes, okay, of not so what. ![]() And dont go too deep into time allign - it seems a better idea than it is in the real world of audio in a room. The key is not time, but how well the signals combine without fighting each other. That is phase. And phase is different with each frequency, most of the time. I then solo the snare and listen to my left and right overheads. I choose the one that sounds subjectively best with the snare. I then align the second best sounding OH mic to the best sounding one. Sometimes I prefer the room mic sounding good with the kick rather than the snare. I also make sure that I rotate the phase using a seperate phase plugin while I do this. Once this is done I go through and turn things of and use my ears to see if I have made a constructive difference. Thanks Im going to need to use it in a few days so this helps. Im getting great results with it but Im just wondering how you guys commit the changes the plugin makes If you are happy with the overall sound do you bus the track out and rerecord it to a new track with the plugin active I ask because I dont seem to be able to use it as an RTAS in Audiosuite. Im going to be sending the files to a mixer and would like to prep them and commit them before sending.
